AC Milan has announced the launch of two new Milan Junior Camps in Prague, Czech Republic (14–18 July) and Rovinka, Slovakia (21–25 July), as part of its growing international grassroots development strategy. Delivered in partnership with Moderní fotbal s.r.o., the initiative aims to bring AC Milan’s youth training methodology to a wider audience in Central Europe.

The camps are targeted at boys and girls aged 5 to 17, and will be led by official AC Milan youth coaches, with a focus not only on technical skills, but also on physical and mental well-being, and the club’s broader values-based development philosophy.

Strategic Partnership with Local Expertise AC Milan Czech Slovakia

The project is being delivered in collaboration with Moderní fotbal s.r.o., a Czech company with over 13 years of experience in youth coaching, adult education, and sports event management.

Speaking about the collaboration, Franco Baresi, Honorary Vice President of AC Milan, stated:

“The launch of these new Milan Junior Camps marks a significant step in bringing AC Milan's legacy and spirit to football fans and communities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. We are pleased to collaborate with Moderní fotbal s.r.o., a company that shares our values of innovation, passion, and determination, making them the perfect partner to help us inspire future generations in this area.”

From the Czech side, Lenka Hrabovská, Managing Partner at Moderní fotbal, emphasized the alignment of purpose and values between the organizations:

“This collaboration between Moderní fotbal and AC Milan is a unique opportunity to connect innovation, tradition, and passion — the core pillars of football. We believe this partnership will create exciting new experiences for our customers, fans, and the wider community across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.”

Grassroots Football as a Global Brand Extension

The Milan Junior Camps represent more than one-off events — they are part of a broader brand and engagement strategy for AC Milan. These types of temporary activations serve as:

  • Tools to increase brand visibility in emerging football regions

  • Vehicles for community outreach that foster goodwill and local engagement

  • Entry points for future scouting or local sponsorship opportunities

AC Milan’s international development approach favors short-format, club-managed programming that retains quality control and aligns with the club’s footballing identity.

While the camps are a step forward in expanding the club’s international reach, there is no indication of a permanent academy structure being launched in either market at this stage. Instead, the initiative is best understood as part of seasonal outreach, allowing the club to maintain flexibility while still engaging directly with young players and their families.

Conclusion

AC Milan’s collaboration with Moderní fotbal s.r.o. and the establishment of Milan Junior Camps in Prague and Rovinka reflect a growing focus on controlled international grassroots expansion. With strong local execution, official coaching involvement, and a clearly defined brand methodology, the club is using short-form training experiences to increase relevance in non-core markets.

For AC Milan, the camps represent another component in its global strategy — one that prioritizes youth development, community connection, and brand consistency without the heavy capital requirements of permanent facilities.
