Arminia Bielefeld, a club with deep roots in Bielefeld's sporting tradition, has announced an exciting new chapter in its journey. Starting from the 2024/25 season, Dr. Oetker, another Bielefeld-based institution, will be the main and jersey sponsor for the club's women's and girls' teams. This partnership is not just a commercial agreement but a shared vision for the future of women's football and societal progress.

A Vision of Equality and Diversity

Christoph Wortmann, Managing Director of Arminia Bielefeld, emphasized the broader impact of this collaboration in a recent interview. "We aim to highlight a clear vision with women's football as a beacon and a holistic partnership for more equality, diversity, and participation of women in society. Diversity is also reflected in the professional field of football," Wortmann stated. Arminia Bielefeld is living proof of this commitment, with women holding significant leadership roles within the club. From ticketing and merchandise to team management and coaching, women are integral to the club's success. Arminia Bielefeld Dr. Oetker

Shared Values and Long-Term Commitment

The announcement, made at the impressive Dr. Oetker World in Bielefeld, marks a significant milestone in the long-standing relationship between Dr. Oetker and Arminia Bielefeld. Wortmann expressed his pride in this partnership, highlighting that it is based on shared values and a mutual commitment to sustainably promoting women's and girls' football. "We are incredibly proud and happy to announce this special cooperation," he said, thanking Dr. Oetker for their exceptional dedication to DSC.

Strategic Planning and Passionate Collaboration

The expansion of this partnership was the result of a shared idea that was diligently developed. "It is always wonderful to see two partners pulling together, sharing the passion and enthusiasm for a project," Wortmann noted. From the outset, Dr. Oetker demonstrated a genuine commitment to this initiative, leading to a strategic plan and thorough preparation for their values-based partnership, now unveiled to the public.

Practical Implementation of Values

Arminia Bielefeld's commitment to diversity and inclusion is not just rhetoric but a lived reality. The club boasts a range of female leaders, including a ticketing manager, merchandise manager, football school head, Arminis head, and a team manager for the professional team. Most notably, Annabel Jäger serves as the head coach of the women's team. This extensive representation of women in leadership positions within the club is a clear signal of Arminia Bielefeld's dedication to promoting women in football management and beyond, surpassing many other Bundesliga clubs in this regard.

Future Prospects of the Partnership

Looking ahead, the partnership aims to expand and enhance existing structures, alleviating the burden on volunteers within the department. Fabian Deeg has been appointed as the full-time coordinator responsible for the seven women's and girls' teams. The focus is on long-term success and development, rather than short-term gains. Wortmann is confident that the collaboration with Dr. Oetker will significantly contribute to achieving this goal through a comprehensive package of measures, with the logo presence on the jerseys being a visible sign of this commitment. In the short and medium term, further progress and key areas of focus will emerge from this partnership.
