PepsiCo and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) have revealed that Lay's potato chips, a subsidiary of PepsiCo, will sponsor the 2023-24 Saudi Women's Premier League. This partnership was officially launched at a signing ceremony, with media partner SMC Vibes, part of Saudi Media Company (SMC), also present. As part of this collaboration, the league will be renamed the "Saudi Women's Premier League Powered by Lay's." Lay’s unveiled as the sponsor of Saudi Women’s Premier League.


Key figures at the signing included Aamer Sheikh, CEO of PepsiCo MENA, Ibrahim Alkabbaa, SAFF Deputy Secretary General, Aalia Abdulaziz AlRasheed, Head of the Women's Department at SAFF, and Khalid Alkhudair, CEO of SMC. Eight Women's Premier League team captains also attended. The Saudi Women's Premier League began its official season last year with eight teams, including five major Saudi Pro League teams, competing over 14 weeks.


The 2023-24 season, starting on October 13, promises exciting new international and local signings, 56 matches, and live broadcasts on Saudi Sports Channel. Lamia Ibrahim Bahaian, Vice President of SAFF, emphasized the partnership's significance in promoting women's sports in Saudi Arabia. Aamer Sheikh, CEO of PepsiCo MENA, highlighted their commitment to diversity and Vision 2030 goals. Khalid Alkhudair, SMC CEO, praised the partnership for advancing women's football in the country.
