New York Red Bulls have announced a new partnership with Evolv Technology to implement advanced security screening measures at Sports Illustrated Stadium. This collaboration marks another step in integrating AI-driven security solutions within Major League Soccer (MLS), improving both safety and the fan experience.
Evolv Technology Becomes Official Fan Screening Partner
Evolv Technology (NASDAQ: EVLV), a leader in AI-based security solutions, has been designated as the "Official Fan Screening Partner" for Sports Illustrated Stadium. Through this partnership, Evolv will deploy its Evolv Express® systems at the stadium’s main entrances, providing a faster and more seamless entry process. The security screening system will also be used for staff and talent entries, ensuring comprehensive safety measures while significantly reducing wait times.
Shaun Oliver, Vice President of Operations at Sports Illustrated Stadium, emphasized the importance of improving stadium operations, stating that the implementation of Evolv Express aligns with the venue’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the fan experience. Having seen the technology deployed across multiple MLS stadiums and major venues in New York, Oliver expressed confidence that Red Bulls fans would benefit from a more efficient and streamlined entry process.
Debut at the 2025 MLS Season Opener
Evolv Express will be first used at Sports Illustrated Stadium during the New York Red Bulls' 2025 season home opener on March 1. The Red Bulls join an expanding list of MLS clubs utilizing Evolv’s technology, including Dignity Health Sports Park (Carson, CA), Lower.com Field (Columbus, OH), Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, GA), and Toyota Stadium (Frisco, TX). MLS continues to see rising attendance figures, setting a new record in 2024, with the league now ranking as the second-most attended soccer competition globally, behind only the English Premier League.
The integration of Evolv Express at Sports Illustrated Stadium marks the company’s twelfth MLS partnership. In 2024 alone, Evolv screened over two million MLS fans, covering five of the top-six clubs in attendance and eight of the top-16 overall. John Baier, Vice President of Sports & Entertainment at Evolv, highlighted that seamless stadium access enhances the electrifying atmosphere of MLS matches and ensures a better overall experience for attendees.
Beyond MLS, Evolv has secured a strong presence in New York City’s entertainment and cultural sectors. Sports Illustrated Stadium now joins a list of high-profile Evolv-equipped venues, including Citi Field (home of the New York Mets), Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the American Museum of Natural History, and the Ronald O. Perelman Performing Arts Center. This expansion further underscores Evolv’s role in modernizing security across large-scale venues.
