Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has launched PSG Labs, a new sports innovation accelerator located at STATION F—the world’s largest start-up campus—in a move that positions the French club at the forefront of football’s technology transformation. The initiative makes PSG the first football club globally to establish a dedicated innovation hub at a start-up accelerator of this scale.

Strategic Objective: Tech-Driven Transformation of the Sports Ecosystem

The goal of PSG Labs is to support and collaborate with early-stage start-ups focused on reshaping key sectors of the sports industry. The accelerator will offer selected start-ups access to PSG’s infrastructure, commercial ecosystem, and global fanbase, enabling rapid testing, validation, and scaling of solutions.

The program will prioritize three core innovation areas:

  • Fan Experience: Including immersive content, Web3 applications, and fan engagement platforms.

  • Smart Infrastructure: Enhancing stadiums and training facilities through smart technologies.

  • Health & Performance: Leveraging AI, biometrics, and wearable tech to support player well-being and optimize performance.

Why STATION F? Strategic Alignment with French Tech and Innovation Policy Paris Saint-Germain PSG Labs

By choosing STATION F in Paris as its home base, PSG taps into a growing national focus on tech entrepreneurship, aligning itself with France’s broader innovation agenda. This integration into an established start-up environment provides PSG with direct access to a pipeline of scalable technologies and investment opportunities in the rapidly growing sports tech sector.

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, President of PSG, emphasized the club’s broader vision:

“We are proud to be the first football club to join forces with STATION F. Through this collaboration, we are empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs who will grow with PSG. We are building a bridge between sports and the most innovative start-up minds.”

Commercial and Operational Implications for PSG

PSG Labs functions as more than just a branding exercise—it is a B2B innovation funnel, giving the club a first-mover advantage in accessing sports tech solutions. This includes:

  • New digital engagement tools to monetize fan bases

  • Operational efficiency technologies for matchday and training operations

  • New licensing and data monetization opportunities

PSG's corporate partners and investors will also benefit from early access to innovations being developed within the Labs, potentially creating a venture investment ecosystem around PSG's brand.

Global Expansion Through PSG Regional Labs

PSG’s innovation strategy extends beyond Paris. The club has already launched its first Regional Lab in Doha, Qatar, with plans to expand into other major tech hubs. This international rollout enables PSG to localize innovation sourcing, tap into diverse technology ecosystems, and adapt solutions to different markets.

Xavier Niel, Founder of STATION F, stated:

“STATION F and PSG share the same ambition: to make Paris shine. Together, we want to show the world that the future of sport is built here.”

Positioning PSG as a Global Sports-Tech Stakeholder

With PSG Labs, the club formalizes its role as a stakeholder in the global sports innovation economy, going beyond the pitch to influence how sports are consumed, managed, and monetized. The initiative supports PSG’s ongoing strategy to evolve into a multi-industry brand with technology, entertainment, and lifestyle verticals.

This project positions Paris Saint-Germain as one of the first European clubs to build a structured innovation ecosystem, potentially influencing how other clubs—especially those with global aspirations—approach partnerships with the start-up world.
