Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has announced a new partnership with Matchain, a cutting-edge blockchain platform specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) and decentralized identity solutions, marking a significant step in the integration of Web3 technology into professional football. The collaboration, set to run from 2024 to 2027, is designed to transform fan engagement and data security while positioning PSG as a leader in digital innovation within the sports industry.


This partnership gives Matchain the status of Exclusive Digital Identity Partner of PSG. With Matchain’s decentralized identity (DID) and data sovereignty solutions, PSG will offer fans personalized, secure digital experiences that enhance how they interact with the club. Fans will no longer be passive participants; instead, they will gain control over their personal data and be able to engage with PSG in entirely new ways, both online and offline.


Redefining Fan Interaction Through Blockchain Paris Saint-Germain Matchain

By integrating Matchain’s blockchain technology, PSG aims to set a new standard for fan interaction. Decentralized identity solutions enable greater privacy and control, ensuring that fan data is secure while allowing for innovative new experiences. With blockchain at its core, the partnership creates an ecosystem where PSG supporters are empowered to engage with the club in an interactive and personalized manner.


To drive this forward, PSG and Matchain are creating a Joint Innovation Studio, an incubator for exploring new Web3 possibilities. This studio will combine PSG’s global influence and Matchain’s technological expertise to develop pioneering solutions for fan engagement. The goal is to leverage blockchain and Web3 technologies to create more meaningful and interactive relationships with supporters worldwide.
