The Saudi Pro League (SPL) has announced a new partnership with Samsung, naming the global technology company as a Gold Partner until the conclusion of the 2024/25 season. The collaboration is expected to contribute to the league’s technological advancements and enhance fan engagement through Samsung’s expertise in digital innovation.

Partnership Signed at Official Ceremony in Riyadh

The agreement was officially signed on February 17, 2025, at a ceremony attended by Mohammed Basrawi, General Manager of Marketing & Communications at the SPL, and Sami Khairalla, Country Senior Director for Mobiles at Samsung Electronics Saudi Arabia.

Mohammed Basrawi stated: “We are excited to welcome Samsung as a Gold Partner of the Saudi Pro League. This partnership reflects our commitment to working with global industry leaders to enhance the league’s growth and deliver the latest in technological innovation.”
Sami Khairalla commented: “Football is a passion shared by millions, and we are proud to partner with the Saudi Pro League to support the sport’s development in the Kingdom. Samsung is committed to innovation and excellence, and through this collaboration, we aim to elevate the experience for supporters and contribute to the continued success of the SPL.”

Strategic Focus on Innovation and Fan Experience

The SPL has been actively securing global brand partnerships as part of its commercial expansion strategy. Samsung’s involvement aligns with these ambitions, as the company aims to introduce technology-driven enhancements to matchday experiences and digital fan interactions.

Samsung, a leader in consumer electronics and mobile technology, sees this partnership as an opportunity to further engage with the Saudi market while strengthening its connection to football audiences in the region. The company has a history of collaborating with sports organizations worldwide, focusing on digital fan engagement and venue technology solutions.

SPL’s Growing Commercial Appeal

The Saudi Pro League has been positioning itself as a global football competitor, attracting high-profile sponsorships and international media deals. The agreement with Samsung highlights the league’s ability to partner with top-tier global brands, reinforcing its growing presence beyond the domestic market.

With the partnership in place until the end of the 2024/25 season, both parties will work on implementing new technological initiatives aimed at enhancing stadium experiences, digital content, and overall fan engagement.
