Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has announced an exciting new partnership with AlUla Club Company, aimed at providing exclusive travel benefits for the company’s employees and affiliates. The partnership was formalized by Mr. Wail Basaffar, Assistant Vice President of KSA Sales at Saudia, and Mr. Waleed Muath, Chief Executive Officer of AlUla Club Company.


This agreement marks a significant milestone, offering special discounts and rates on both domestic and international Saudia flights. By providing these exclusive benefits, Saudia aims to enhance the travel experiences of AlUla Club Company employees, further solidifying its role as a key player in promoting tourism and cultural engagement in the region.

Saudia has been instrumental in promoting AlUla’s rich cultural and historical heritage through various high-profile initiatives. This new partnership builds upon Saudia's long-standing relationship with the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU), reinforcing the airline’s dedication to the region’s development.


In recent years, Saudia has championed several initiatives to showcase AlUla’s unique appeal. Notably, AlUla FM became the first radio station to feature on Saudia’s in-flight entertainment system. This strategic collaboration between Saudia and AlUla has allowed travelers to immerse themselves in the region's culture, even while in the air.


A Legacy of Support for AlUla Tourism


Saudia’s commitment to AlUla's growth extends beyond its in-flight entertainment offerings. The airline has been a major sponsor of several cultural and tourism-driven events, including the AlUla Skies Festival in both 2022 and 2023. This festival, which features hot air ballooning, drone displays, and other sky-based activities, attracted tourists from around the globe and positioned AlUla as a premier destination for adventure and cultural tourism.


The airline also sponsored the prestigious Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo tournament in 2022, which further highlighted the region’s cultural vibrancy and helped elevate AlUla's reputation as a global cultural hub.


Pioneering Projects in AlUla


Saudia's involvement in AlUla’s tourism development began with the groundbreaking "Museum in the Sky" initiative in 2021. This one-of-a-kind flight experience allowed passengers to explore AlUla’s archaeological wonders from the air, creating a seamless connection between Saudi Arabia's rich history and modern travel.

Additionally, Saudia was the first airline to introduce seasonal flights to AlUla back in 2019, demonstrating its continued commitment to making the region more accessible to travelers from around the world.
