The Bay Area's newest women's professional soccer team, Bay FC, which competes in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), is proud to announce its lead investor, Sixth Street, as the inaugural season's founding kit sponsor.
During the 2024 season, the Sixth Street logo will be featured on the back of Bay FC's player kits, aligning the brand alongside Sutter Health and Visa, who are also jersey sponsors. Sutter Health takes the prime spot on the front of the kit, while Visa is set to adorn the jersey sleeves.
Bay FC's CEO, Brady Stewart, extends a heartfelt thank you to Sixth Street for their unwavering support and partnership, starting from their initial record investment that was crucial for the team's establishment. “Sixth Street has consistently supported our mission to create a global sports franchise, and we are thrilled to have them by our side as we kick off our first season,” Stewart remarked.
As a global investment entity with roots in San Francisco, Sixth Street has made a significant impact by leading the largest ever institutional investment in a women’s professional sports franchise, thereby co-founding Bay FC.
Alan Waxman, CEO and Co-Chair of Bay FC from Sixth Street, shared, “The Bay Area’s community has embraced Bay FC warmly, and we at Sixth Street are eager to contribute our support. Our firm believes in uniting diverse talents and ideas to achieve greatness, and we're confident Bay FC will make us all proud.”
This sponsorship is an addition to Sixth Street’s investment in Bay FC, with the financial details remaining private.
Bay FC is set to play its first game against the Houston Dash on March 30 at PayPal Park in San Jose. Though tickets for the inaugural match are sold out, fans may find resale options on Ticketmaster. Future game tickets and the latest merchandise can be acquired at bayfc.com, with more updates available on @wearebayfc across social media platforms.
