Southampton Football Club has announced a notable addition to their Men’s First Team shirts for the 2024-25 FA Cup campaign. The shirts will feature the word "HODL," prominently displayed below players’ names and numbers. This marks an extension of the club’s partnership with their Front-of-Shirt Sponsor, Rollbit.

What Is HODL?

The term "HODL" has become iconic in cryptocurrency and investment circles, symbolizing the philosophy of holding investments through market ups and downs. By featuring this term, Southampton FC aligns with Rollbit's brand identity and engages with their growing community.

Sam Norman, Head of Partnerships at Rollbit, commented:

“We’re excited to take our partnership with Southampton FC to the next level as we head into football’s most iconic competition. With this recent market uptick, our confidence in the future remains stronger than ever. We are proud to stand by the Saints during the FA Cup and beyond. Let’s cheer them on together – and don’t forget to HODL!”

New Club Font Inspired by Southampton’s Maritime Heritage

In addition to the HODL logo, the shirts will feature a new name and number font designed by TURF, Southampton FC's in-house creative studio. The font is inspired by typography historically associated with Southampton’s seafaring legacy, giving the shirts a distinctive connection to the city’s heritage.

Fans will have the opportunity to purchase a limited selection of player names and numbers in the new font at the club store starting January 15. The full set of letters and numbers will be available for the 2025/26 Puma kits, which are set to launch in summer 2025.

A Unique FA Cup Campaign Design

The inclusion of the HODL logo and the custom font on Southampton's FA Cup shirts highlights a growing trend of integrating unique sponsorship elements with meaningful designs. For fans and collectors, this limited-edition design offers a fresh way to connect with the club during one of football’s most celebrated tournaments.
