Valencia CF has announced the return of The Champions Burger to Camp de Mestalla this summer, following the success of its 2024 edition that drew more than 350,000 visitors. The event, scheduled to take place between June 5 and June 23, 2025, continues the club’s push to position its stadium as a multifunctional entertainment venue beyond football.
The Champions Burger is currently the largest burger-themed gastronomic event in Spain, traveling to over 40 cities in 2025 due to rising public demand. With Valencia once again serving as a major stop on the national tour, the club is using the stadium to connect with wider audiences through curated lifestyle experiences.
Stadium Activation as Commercial Strategy Valencia CF The Champions Burger Camp de Mestalla
The return of The Champions Burger to Mestalla is part of Valencia CF’s larger objective of transforming its stadium into a cultural and entertainment hub. This initiative fits into the club’s non-matchday monetization model, where Camp de Mestalla is used for seasonal and large-scale events. In 2024, the stadium earned LaLiga’s “Best Event” award for its New Year’s Eve Coliseo celebration, signaling the club’s credibility as an organizer of top-tier public experiences.
Valencia CF is not only using these events to generate venue-based revenue streams but also to build operational experience ahead of its relocation to the Nou Mestalla in 2027. Hosting city-scale events like The Champions Burger gives the club a real-time environment to test logistics, hospitality coordination, and public access planning.
Fan Engagement and Broader Audience Reach
At the core of the event is a culinary competition where over 25 gourmet burger vendors present their best creations in food truck format. Visitors vote on Spain’s best burger based on a mix of taste, ingredient quality, and presentation. The 2025 edition introduces new elements to enhance the visitor experience, including a neon-lit entry arch inspired by iconic American highway culture.
The event is designed to attract not only fans of the club but also foodies, families, and tourists—demonstrating Valencia’s commitment to broadening its community engagement beyond its traditional football audience.
Preparing for the Nou Mestalla Era
By establishing Camp de Mestalla as a trusted host for cultural events, Valencia CF is laying the groundwork for its future operations at Nou Mestalla. These efforts build credibility among sponsors, city partners, and the fan base, showing how the club can evolve into a year-round entertainment brand.
The Champions Burger is one of several initiatives that allow the club to test and refine how football venues can operate as high-traffic destinations, creating additional economic impact for the surrounding area while generating new commercial opportunities.
