Venezia FC is thrilled to announce the renewal of contracts for key figures within its leadership team. Sporting Director and General Manager Filippo Antonelli, Technical Area Director Cristian Molinaro, and Youth Academy Director Isaac Guerrero have all committed to long-term agreements, laying a strong foundation for the club's future development and growth.


Filippo Antonelli: Steering Venezia FC to New Heights


Filippo Antonelli, a pivotal figure in Venezia FC's recent successes, has extended his contract until the end of the 2027/28 football season. Antonelli's journey began after a 20-year career as a professional footballer. He transitioned into a sports director role at Aurora Pro Patria and later at Monza, where he played a crucial role in leading the club from Serie D to Serie A in seven years.


Antonelli joined Venezia FC in December 2022 and quickly made an impact by guiding the team to the playoffs in the 2022/23 championship and securing a historic promotion to Serie A the following season.

Expressing his gratitude and vision, Antonelli stated:


"The renewed confidence in me and the technical area's staff, along with the sports project that began at the end of 2022, makes me proud and increasingly motivated to face new challenges. I thank the ownership group for valuing our work and laying the foundation to build something significant for the club and the city of Venice. Balance, sustainability, sporting ambition, and synergy with the Youth Sector should inspire us as we face future challenges."

Antonelli acknowledged the teamwork and support from various departments and key figures, including Technical Director Molinaro, the scouting team led by Antonio Cavallo, and Massimo Borriello of HiSkill, an expert in sports management and performance.


Cristian Molinaro: From Player to Technical Director


Cristian Molinaro has also extended his contract with Venezia FC until the end of the 2027/28 season. Molinaro, a former Italian international with experience at top clubs like Juventus and Stuttgart, joined Venezia in the 2019/20 season. He first achieved promotion to Serie A as a player in the 2020/21 season and later as a manager in the 2023/24 season.


Cristian Molinaro’s Commitment


Molinaro expressed his gratitude and commitment, saying:


"I thank the ownership group for believing in me first as a player and later as a manager. This contract renewal is a token of their esteem, pushing me to grow as a manager and work tirelessly for the club. Alongside Sporting Director Antonelli and the entire Venezia FC staff, I am ready to continue our journey, aiming to make our fans proud."

Isaac Guerrero: Elevating the Youth Sector


Isaac Guerrero, the Technical Director and Head of Methodology for Venezia FC's Youth Academy, has extended his contract until the end of the 2025/26 season, with an option for the 2026/27 season. Guerrero, who joined Venezia FC in 2021 from FC Barcelona, has been instrumental in the growth and development of the youth sector.

Guerrero shared his vision, stating:


"I thank the club's ownership group for the opportunity to continue the ambitious project of transforming Venezia FC's youth sector into a high-level professional reality. We will work to ensure our talent development project is recognized throughout Italy for the calibre of our players and the playing style of our teams. In partnership with Sporting Director Antonelli and Technical Director Molinaro, we will develop players capable of contributing to Venezia FC's first team in the future."
