VfB Stuttgart and Sudeva Delhi FC have announced a two-year youth partnership aimed at enhancing football development in India and fostering collaboration between the two clubs. The partnership includes a range of initiatives for youth players and coaches, creating opportunities for skill development and international exposure.

Elite Training Camps and International Tournaments

As part of the collaboration, a specially selected group of Indian youth players will travel to Stuttgart annually for Elite Training Camps. These camps will provide participants with professional-level training sessions in Stuttgart, and in some cases, the players will compete in regional tournaments in Germany.

The agreement also includes opportunities for Indian coaches to receive tactical training, benefiting from the expertise of VfB Stuttgart's coaching staff. This initiative aims to strengthen the overall football ecosystem in India by equipping local coaches with advanced techniques and methodologies.

In addition to hosting Indian youth players, VfB Stuttgart coaches will travel to New Delhi once a year. During their visits, they will conduct scouting camps, workshops, and training sessions for Sudeva Delhi FC’s youth teams, starting from the U15 level. This exchange not only supports the development of Indian football talent but also enables VfB Stuttgart to identify promising players for future opportunities.

Kickoff at the MTU Cup

The partnership officially began with Sudeva Delhi FC’s U15 team participating in the MTU Cup, a prestigious youth tournament organized by VfB Friedrichshafen, a partner club of VfB Stuttgart. The tournament provided a platform for both clubs to interact and evaluate the potential of their collaboration. Stuttgart emerged as the tournament winners, but Sudeva Delhi FC’s youngsters impressed with their performance, signaling a strong start to the partnership.

A Step Forward for Indian Football and Bilateral Relations

Rouven Kasper, VfB’s Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, highlighted the significance of the partnership:

“In Sudeva Delhi FC, a club from the Indian capital, we’ve gained a partner that focuses on youth work and talent development. Together, we’re keen to drive the development of Indian football in the coming years and are convinced that this is a step that will get the ball rolling. These partnerships also promote bilateral relations between Germany and India and therefore the economic relationship between the two countries, which will be important for our region in the future.”

By sharing knowledge, resources, and opportunities, the partnership aims to create a sustainable impact on youth development while fostering stronger ties between Germany and India.
